We still get a lot of joy looking back at the Snickers Campaign we did last year.
Working with Mr T was certainly the highlight of the year and we still get a lot of requests from fans and clients to see the videos from the Get Some Nuts tour.

Below are a few highlights of the campaign from the videos we did.

Snickers “Get Some Nuts” Digital Campaign

WAX created and produced the digital campaign for Snickers 2009

The brief was to create and produce a website which can showcase all the contend of the MR T “GET SOME NUTS” tour 2009.
WAX created 16 films in 4 days all to go live onto a website instantly to keep users up to date with the tour.
We produced 38 rich media banners to promote the website and tour across digital publications. Ranging from standard banners to full expandable video mpu’s.
WAX created a bespoke video delivery platform and created a flash website which hosted and distributed all video contend and extra widgets such a ringtones, picture downloads and personalized mobile messaging distribution.

The site was put on a scalable video server platform which means that it could handle any amount of traffic at any given time and it was mirrored in the US to guarantee smooth contend delivery across the Atlantic.

Wax produced 4 pieces of branded online video per day which were all shot, edited and approved on location and then instantly uploaded to the microsite, Facebook, Bebo, youtube channel and associated blogger sites.
The timing was crucial in order to avoid any non branded websites or channels to “rip” the films and distribute them on a non-approved (branded) platform.
WAX worked very closely with the PR agency (Edelman) on that to guarantee maximum brand exposure.
All films were tagged and branded and made available to share and link to.
Furthermore we helped creating a mobile widget, which allowed users to send out personalized Mr T messages from the microsite and banners to friends.
These have been particularly successful with our target audience of 12 – 18 year olds.
The site was designed, produced and hosted by our in-house flash team and all video contend, brand indents and banners were produced by the Wax creative team.

Within 6 weeks of launch of the Get Some Nuts Tour, the site has attracted just over 250K unique visitors which is was a 300% increase in traffic to the previous year/campaign.
